Welcome to the CIVIC Leadership Institute.  CIVIC exists to create an active network of informed, concerned citizens to guide the future and growth of the Hampton Roads Community into the 21st century. Working and learning together, participants in the leadership program are able to enhance their leadership skills, capacities and attitudes while they broaden their understanding of issues important to the region.

Our core leadership program is designed to encourage participants to be trustees of the Hampton Roads community -- to work for the common good -- and to become a leadership resource for the entire community, able to understand and facilitate collaboration, consensus building and creative problem solving in addressing community needs.
